Intercessory Prayer Ministry 2020
We honor God for His faithfulness over our lives in 2019. He has grown us in Excellence by His Spirit through the power of prayer, the study of His word, and the moving of His Spirit through worship. We will never be the same. Now we say, “Hallelujah to our God” who has blessed us to enter a new decade of Expectation. Expectation means to have a strong belief that something will happen or be the case in the future. It is by faith and through prayer that we will continue to grow and be transformed as disciples of Jesus Christ. It is with great expectation that we ask God to pursue us with His glory. 1 Corinthians 2:9-10 says it best, “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love Him.” But it was to us that God revealed these things by His Spirit.”
During the beginning of this new decade, we are asking God to continue to grow us as prayer warriors. His word illustrates the importance of prayer in the lives of His people. David sought His face before going to war and Jesus prayed to His Father both day and night. We will continue to do the same through our weekly Hope Prayer Line on Thursdays at 7:00am. Join us by dialing 712-775-7035 using code 290035#. Join us for Intercessory Prayer on the first and fourth Sundays in the sanctuary at 9:00am (8:30am during summer). Pray with us each month with a prayer written from the Book of Psalms (church bulletin & website). Invite a friend and join us at our annual prayer retreat in May.
What are your expectations in this New Year? Expectation is a call for action. It will require us all as lovers of Christ Jesus to move by His Spirit and to be faithful to our calling. So, get ready and let everyday be filled with the Expectation that God is near and the prayers of the righteous are being heard.
